Call for Expressions of Interest to participate in Tiktok Journalism & Elections Reporting Training

MISA Malawi has organised the training in partnership with DW Akademie

MISA Malawi is calling for Expressions of Interest (EoI) from interested paid-up members to participate in a five-day training on Tiktok Journalism and Elections Reporting scheduled for July 21-25, 2025. The training will take place at Mtolankhani House, Lilongwe.

MISA Malawi has organised the training in partnership with DW Akademie, Deutsche Welle’s centre for education, knowledge transfer and media development.

Target Group
The training is open to all MISA Malawi paid-up members. Those with active Tiktok accounts will have an added advantage. We have space for 10 participants.

Send your short motivation letters not later than Friday, July 4, 2025 to misamalawi@gmail.com. The motivation should include the following:

  1. A brief background about yourself including your experience as a journalist.
    2.
    Your experience as a Tiktoker, if any, and a functional link to your Tiktok Account
    3. Your specific expectations from the training
    4. How the training will benefit you as an individual and/or your media outlet
    5. Commitment to attend the training for all the five days
    Only shortlisted participants will be invited. Those who will be busy with other work-related and personal duties during the days of the training should not apply!
