Call for Expressions of Interest to participate in Podcast Mentorship

We seek to build and strengthen podcasting skills and knowledge of media practitioners in Malawi.

MISA Malawi is calling for Expressions of Interest (EoI) to participate in a two-month podcast mentorship programme scheduled for July and August 2024.

In partnership with DW Akademie, Deutsche Welle’s centre for education, knowledge transfer and media development, MISA Malawi seeks to build and strengthen podcasting skills and knowledge of media practitioners in Malawi.

Target Group

The mentorship is open to those who participated in Podcast Training sessions organised by MISA Malawi and DW akademie and we have mentorship space for 3 podcasters. Those who have operational and actively produced podcasts will have an added advantage.

Send your short motivation letters not later than Friday, June 21, 2024 to misamalawi@gmail.com ,Copy moseschitsulo@gmail.com and mayamikokac@gmail.com. The motivation should include the following:

  1. Well-defined podcast objectives, vision and mission
  2. Action plan that includes number of episodes and proposed themes of podcasts you plan to produce during the period of mentorship.
  3. Reasonable budget for your podcast production and promotion. MISA Malawi will provide seed funding to selected mentees.
  4. Sustainable plan on the sharing of knowledge, skills and experiences with other practicing and aspiring podcasters during and after mentorship.
  5. Experience, include years spent working as a podcaster.
  6. Current work place (indicate if you are a freelancer)
  7. How the mentorship will benefit you as a podcaster.
  8. Commitment to participate throughout the mentorship period.

Only shortlisted mentees will receive further communication. Those who may not have time to commit to the mentorship due to work-related and personal duties should not apply!
