MISA Malawi is deeply saddened by the demise of veteran photojournalist, Bonnex Julius who passed on after a short illness on Sunday December 18, 2016.

The Malawi Chapter of the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA Malawi) is deeply saddened with the untimely and shocking demise of veteran photojournalist, Bonnex Julius who passed on after a short illness at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe, Sunday, December 18, 2016.

Julius was a photojournalist with Times Group and one of the longest and most dedicated members of MISA Malawi.

Julius will be remembered for his superb mastery of photography. He was a prolific photojournalist who captivated many a reader with his award winning pictures.

MISA Malawi joins Malawians, the media fraternity in particular, in mourning Bonnex Julius, whose demise has shocked the entire fraternity. He has departed at a time when the media industry in Malawi needed his skills most.

Our condolences go to Julius’s family, relatives, colleagues and admirers. We know you loved him, but God loved him most and took him away from us for a purpose. We pray for God’s strength during this difficult moment.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
